What Is A Home Mold Inspection?
A home mold inspection is an inspection that focuses on the presence of water damage and mold growth on materials and components inside the home. Air samples and surface samples are generally taken to determine how mold is affecting the indoor environment.
A typical mold inspection involves one of our certified inspectors talking to the property owner about any areas where they have seen mold. We will look for any signs of water damage, water intrusion, possible faucet or pipe leaks, and any other signs of moisture.
A new home buyer may wish to have an air spore test to ensure their family is moving into a healthy environment.
Past moisture problems or water damage may encourage mold or microbial growth. We inspect the house thoroughly, looking in places known to be prone to mold growth. A musty, earthy smell, like dirt and rotting leaves, is a telltale sign of mold’s presence.
Typically we can get a complete mold inspection done and your results back within 7 days or less.
