Prior to purchasing a duplex or investment property, an inspection should be completed by one of our certified home inspectors. What you see with your own inspection (when viewing the property with a realtor) may be completely different from what you will get when getting a certified inspection.
A complete and thorough duplex inspection will cover all areas that are common or that may affect the unit you are purchasing.
We inspect both the interior and the exterior of the duplex.
These include the roof and roof discharge areas, floors, walls, and ceilings of the unit and the common areas, the windows and doors of the common areas and the unit, signs of rot, water damage, and other repair issues. A complete duplex inspection will also include the visible areas of the foundation, basement areas, any common heating and air conditioning systems, plumbing and fixtures, and any electrical systems including wiring, switches, electrical fixtures, panels, and outlets, plus many other aspects.
Purchasing a duplex is a large investment. Make sure you are protected by our 90 day buy back guarantee.
